There’s something magical about photographing families at Presidio Tunnel Tops—the mixture of golden light, coastal breeze, and that iconic view of the Palace of Fine Arts glowing in the distance.
This sweet family brought all the warmth and connection a photographer could hope for.
We began our session with gentle posing and simple walking prompts to help everyone ease into the evening. Their son was full of joy from the very first moment—wide smiles, playful energy, and that natural sparkle that makes childhood feel timeless. Every time he laughed, his parents lit up right along with him.
What stood out most was the way they interacted with one another. The parents held him close with so much tenderness, and the way he wrapped his arms around them showed just how safe and loved he felt. Photographing that bond against the soft San Francisco sunset felt effortless and genuine.
As the city lights started to twinkle, we captured the last portraits overlooking the skyline—a perfect blend of urban beauty and family connection. It was the kind of session that reminds me why I love family photography: real moments, honest emotion, and memories families can treasure forever.
